Christopher G. Peterson grew up on a small farm in the middle of Washington State. His personal involvement and experiences in multiple family owned businesses contributed to his work ethic and interest in business. At a young age, Chris began exploring different ways to enhance his earnings. While still in middle school, he learned how to read the stock listings in the paper and how to research investments. Using summer job money, he bought his first stock in his early teens.

Throughout high school, Chris took it upon himself to learn more about investing and helped family members make investment choices. In college, Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Finance.

After stints working in the family business, Chris decided to pursue what he truly enjoyed - using investments as a tool to enhance lives. As a Financial Advisor at a leading Wall Street broker, Chris provided brokerage services to families, corporate executives, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Chris experienced and learned much during his time at the firm. However, he believed there was a better way to serve clients and follow his desire to be an entrepreneur and a fiduciary advisor.

In the fall of 2008, during the global financial crisis, Chris established Peterson Wealth Advisory to provide fiduciary, independent and comprehensive financial advice to clients throughout the United States. As a registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Peterson Wealth Advisory has a fiduciary duty to clients (putting their interests first), is compensated on a fee-only basis, and discloses any and all conflicts of interest.

Chris believes this higher standard of financial advice is better for his clients and should be demanded by all investors who work with advisors. To further set himself apart, Chris earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2011, the recognized standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning. He is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Fee Only Network.

Chris is a follower of Jesus and is an active member at Central Baptist Church in Crossville. Together, he and his wife, April, raise three lovely and talented daughters.

Chris serves on the Crossville-Cumberland County Sports & Events Council and is a current member and past president of the Crossville Rotary Club.

To help keep his mind and body healthy he enjoys HIIT workouts, gardening, hiking, and traveling. To reward himself and to share with others he enjoys baking!
